The pilot of a small plane made and emergency landing on an open field in Douglas County Saturday morning, the plane flipped after touching down.The pilot, of a Cessna 172S, and a passenger escaped injury, South Metro Fire Rescue said on X at 6:47 a.m.The hard landing happened south of Lincoln Avenue and east of Oswego Street on the Meridian Golf Course. VALLEJO — A teenage passenger died and another was injured in a single-car collision Friday morning, authorities said.Shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Friday, the Vallejo Police Department responded to a collision near Columbus and Redwood parkways.The driver of a 2005 Toyota Tundra lost control of the vehicle while traveling on Columbus Parkway and struck the center median, according to police.
